EHS and Facilities Engineer

Summary:

Ensures compliance to environmental regulations, ISO 14001 standard, and governmental reporting. Ensures compliance with OSHA safety standards. Coordinates facility and contractor management.


Description:

• Ensure ongoing compliance to ISO 14001 certification. • Ensure compliance to environmental permits and regulated activities. • Lead development and implementation of carbon reduction projects and CO2 reporting to customers as required. • Ensure compliance to OSHA safety standards throughout facility. • Maintain and update JSA’s as necessary. • Lead Safety Committee meetings and assist with safety training, as necessary. • Participate in incident investigations. • Assists with all building and grounds maintenance. • Ensures effective and efficient operation and maintenance of all Plant Utilities. • Maintain plant utilities and plant mechanical systems (HVAC). • Assist with energy conservation projects and processes. • Assists with coordination of work and related activities of outside contractors. • Assists with the resolution of plant problems at night, weekends, or any shift as may be required. • Follows SNA Policies, Safety Rules and Regulations. • Performs other duties as requested by Engineering & Product Development General Manager


Qualification:

• High school graduate with extremely high level of demonstrated safety and environmental experience. • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred. • Must be highly proficient with Microsoft Office Programs. • Must fully understand computerized reporting and tracking software. • Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. • Must possess OSHA knowledge and environmental regulation knowledge and experience • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to make low and high-level decisions. • Must have strong analytical/problem solving skills. • Must have excellent organizational and strong supervisory skills
